Celebrating Dave George’s Career as He Retires After 18 Years at Glenfield Invicta 19-12-2024

After an incredible career spanning over six decades, we bid farewell to Dave George as he retires after 18 years of dedicated service at Glenfield Invicta.

Dave’s journey began in 1958, at the age of 16, when he embarked on a five-year apprenticeship at St Mary Cary. During this time, he mastered a wide range of workshop duties, from milling to tool making, showcasing his commitment to honing his craft.

Over the years, Dave built a great career working in various workshops before joining Glenfield Invicta 18 years ago. Dave became an integral part of the team, bringing with him an exceptional level of expertise. His vast knowledge of every single machine in our workshop has made him an invaluable resource, capable of operating each one with precision and skill.

In recent years, Dave has been responsible for our threading work, manually handling the tasks on our largest lathe. Watching Dave work on such operations has always been an impressive sight.

Dave Explained:
“It has been a real pleasure to work here over the last 18 years, I wish all my colleagues the very best”

Thank you, Dave, for your unwavering commitment and exemplary work. We wish you a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
